Hákon is the artistic director of Improv Iceland, 2023-2025.

Formed in 2015, Improv Iceland performs UCB style improvised comedy in icelandic every wednesday in The National Theatres’ Theatre Cellar. The group consists of around 25 improvisers who are selected through auditions twice per year.

Hákon has been a part of the improv community in Iceland for almost 10 years. Starting classes in 2015, rehearsing with Improv Icelands practice team from 2017, performing with the house team since 2019, taking on the role of artistic director in 2023.

Hákon manages 6 shows a month with Improv Iceland along with teaching classes.
