Jesú er til, hann spilar á banjó (2022)

Jesú er til, hann spilar á banjó (Jesus is real, he plays the banjo) is a documentary comedy performance premiered at Tjarnarbíó theatre in the fall of 2022.

In the fall of 2019 Hákon is the brink of despair in Vesturbæjarlaug pool. A sweet melody floats into his ears. A man is sitting on the poolside playing the banjo. Who is this man? How does he have the confidence to play the banjo in a public place? Does he hold the answers to life’s largest questions?

Later, Hákon decides to venture on the biggest quest of his life, to find this mysterious banjo player. He turns into a detective and recruits an investigative team. Who is he and where?
